The MIX LAND streetwear store
In a challenging and competitive economic environment, with increasing online shopping, retail stores still have the sense to exist. Nothing helps to communicate the essence of the brand identity better than the store interior design and atmosphere. Retail stores have great opportunities to deliver a wow experience to the customers, to create a memorable impression on both carefully curated product selection and the impeccable service.
For example, Swedish fashion label Acne Studios has been given its stores a signature look in sculptural stainless steel, rare exclusive carpets, futuristic lighting and coarse furniture.
The MIX LAND streetwear store designed by XIAN XIANG DESIGN has an aseptic lab look: white walls and floors, original industrial ceiling with grid lighting. The display shelves, mirrors and installations are made in stainless steel. Colourful windows and doors are inspired by the wild colours generated from various chemical reactions.
In the middle of the store spaces, there are several lab equipments.
The metal incubator in warm yellow light has a giant pipe to release smoke in the glass box beside it. The incubator is to display the newly arrived sneakers and the glass box is the showcase for clothes.
The condensation is a transparent case filled with blue liquid. Next to it, a violet lighting fitting room on the wheels. It’s flanked by the elongated table with DJ deck. Behind the table on the wall, screens are showing the time, music clips and the real-time videos captured by the CCTV cameras installed in the corners of the store, on the metal DJ table and at the entrance of the store.
The operation desk limited by the yellow-black line on the floor with the word ‘DISASSEMBLE’ emerges in the non-stop released smoke. This operation desk showcases footwear and accessories. Around it, there are tabourets on wheels that you can sit on.
The 6 sterilizing cabinets in green light are display cases for sneakers.
The dressing rooms with neon-tone doors are inspired by the lab air shower room, creating constantly changing colours.
As said in the statement of XIAN XIANG DESIGN, the studio is passionate about exploring the many possibilities of space with experimental design language, trying to find a balance between form, material and their relationship with the environment and users. The core value concept is passed on to customers through the spatial experience immersed in it.
